Broadband Census Data is all about the creation of broadband availability maps. No fewer than two and as many as five independent sources are used to validate the data. Sources include: wireline footprints, wireless footprints, carrier data, and user generated data. Geo-coded address lists are used to collect data and tie speed, price, availability, technology and provider information to a specific location.
We can perform an inclusive broadband availability study and prepare broadband availability coverage maps. The maps are provided in the form of a PDF file. Current broadband availability map(s) include wireless and wireline provider (cable and telco) footprints.
In addition to hardcopy maps, the data used to create the map(s) will be provided to in electronic form. This data can be used to support Broadband Technology Opportunities Program and Broadband Infrastructure Program applications.
