Broadband Census Taker says:

I'm temporarily living away from home becuase of a burst pipe and using sprint wireless access to their faster network. At home I'm BellSouth (AT&T).

Pros: Availability where DSL and Cable are not, ability to take internet on road with laptop. Cons: Cost ($62) for performance, new caps at 5GB. I will be switching to a Sprint reseller called Millenicom which offers the same service without contracts or the 5 GB monthly cap for the same price per month.

Micah Tidwell says:

I haven't a clue why you claim theres 5 providers for broadband here.. There is NO landline option, the sprint wireless is limited on reliability and satellite service is just completely worthless with streaming and gaming.. We need real options!!!

John says:

Everything was great (though a bit expensive), then Sprint announced that it's unlimited service would now be capped at 5GB/mo. Unfortunately, I have found no other options.

48105 Sprint says:

Connection speed varies, but this expensive "high-speed broadband" sometimes seems slower than the old 56K free Netzero dialup. Even low-res Youtube videos will usually pause every few seconds to cache, and a variety of webpages seem to occasionally hang.

Nathan says:

This service works, but is limited by a paltry 5GB cap per month. The speeds advertized are 600-800 kpbs download and 200-400kbps upload. They are usually around 1 Mbps down 200 Kbps Upload

nek says:

I usually get about at least 1000 KBPS down and maybe a little less than half that up. Service is very reliable. Also service seems to be getting faster.

Chris says:

Actually, I use Milllenicom. I think they are reselling Sprint. Would rate higher but service blocks/switches DNS requests, so I cannot use services like OpenDNS.

Broadband Census Taker says:

Excellent speed and one of two options available to me (other is Fixed Wireless), but 5GB cap is a big problem for business use (40 hrs / week).

Broadband Census Taker says:

The only option here is wireless and even the cell phone doesn't work here. My mailing is pierson but I live in unincorporated county. Servicce ie very unstable and slow.

too costly, speed unpredictable but superior most of the time to dial up

Broadband Census Taker says:

Service is spotty and unreliable most of the time.

Broadband Census Taker says:

download speeds consistently 25% of advertised speeds. sprint has recently changed their strategy on addressing this problem from attempting to find a way to improve user speeds to blaming the consumer for the problem---"how old is your computer?", "upgrade your OS", "update your software", "what browser are you using?", "such and such browser is faster". i even had a customer service rep tell me "we CAN provide 1.5 MBPS, but that doesn't mean we always HAVE TO provide 1.5 MBPS!!!
