The Broadband Initiatives Program - Broadband Technology Opportunities Program NoFA
The NTIA and RUS have released their complicated set of rules governing the key broadband stimulus programs: the Notice of Funds Availability (121 pages), and the application guides for the Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (118 pages) and the Broadband Initiatives Program (72 pages). These are the essential facts.
NTIA’s Data and Mapping NoFA
The NTIA has very clearly divided the broadband data and mapping NoFA from the separate broadband technologies and infrastructure NoFA. Eligibility for the mapping NoFA is much narrower. The $240 million in this NoFA is geared toward states. It remains unclear how the national map will be built.
